The role
You'd own paid media for a roster that includes Chery, Talabat, Al Mouyassar, Tecno and Xiaomi — planning, launching and optimising across Meta, TikTok, Google and YouTube. Typical accounts run $12K+ in monthly spend, and you'd be accountable for what comes back out: CAC, ROAS, CPL, not impressions.
The difference between this and most media buying jobs in Iraq is who's sitting next to you. Pomelo runs six disciplines under one roof — brand, web, video, social, paid, SEO. When an ad set is underperforming because the creative is wrong, you walk over to the people who made it and brief a new cut. You're not filing a request with a vendor and waiting nine days.
You'd be joining accounts that already work. Current benchmarks across the paid team: 4.8x ROAS, $0.62 CPL, 4.1% CTR. This isn't a rescue job. It's taking a good number and finding the next 20%.
Why Pomelo
- Six disciplines, one building. Brand, web, video, social, paid, SEO. Most projects use three or four together, and you'd sit next to the people doing the rest.
- Iraq's brands, not Iraq's budgets. Tecno, Talabat, Al Mouyassar, Xiaomi, Holdal, Chery. The client list is why people stay.
- Erbil and Baghdad, working in three languages. Everything we make is built natively in Kurdish, Arabic and English, not translated afterwards.
What we need
- 2+ years running paid campaigns hands-on in Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Google Ads and YouTube. Not delegating, not boosting posts.
- Comfortable owning a monthly budget and defending your allocation decisions.
- Fluent in the numbers that matter: CAC, ROAS, CPL, CTR, and what to do when one moves without the others.
- Kurdish or Arabic plus working English.
- Based in Erbil or able to relocate before starting.
We don't need a marketing degree or platform certifications. Show us an account you grew.
